All students who enrol in Redbank School must be admitted as patients into Redbank House (Department of Health). Redbank School does not enrol students independently of Redbank House. Referrals to Redbank House can be made by a mental health professional or school counsellor. In practice most children and adolescents accepted for treatment have already had local mental health team involvement. Children and adolescents who have difficulties at home and at school are most likely to benefit from the program. In the first instance mental health professionals or school counsellors wishing to refer a child or adolescent should consult with an intake officer at Redbank House.
